About

Handshakes is a puzzle game where the goal is in the name, to extend the character hands enough to connect to one another! However, in order to complete the goal, you must first solve the puzzle within the level. It was originally developed for a Game Jam in which small teams of 5 or less had a short amount of time to develop a game around the theme of Connection. This team did a great job and placed top in the Game Design category.

Congratulations to the team on their accomplishment in the Lost Relic Games game jam where Handshakes was rated top in game design!

How to play

If you're playing the web version, the controls are displayed on screen for each level. The arrow keys will move the hand of one character, while the WASD keys will move the hand of the other. Both characters have a limited number of moves that are displayed on their body. Some of the levels require creative thinking to clear. Let's just say sometimes in order to connect, you must first disconnect.

Objective

The objective in this game is simple, make two hands meet for a handshake. However, there are currently 30 levels and some of them can get quite tricky.

Final Thoughts

This is a very fun game and worth checking out. The game took me about an hour to complete, but be sure to stay in touch with the developers and watch this game as they are continuing support and releasing more levels and mechanics.
